Name: Josh Walker
Location: San Diego, CA

Mentor Profile:
My name is Joshua Walker and I am originally form Orange County, California. My career goal is to earn a master’s or Ph.D in Psychology, with an emphasis in either clinical or research. I intend to pursue a career that will fulfill my instrinsic needs. Professionally I enjoy working with children and adults. With my broad sense of knowledge in the field of psychology, I intend to use this as a tool to help those with cognitive, behavioral, and developmental disorders.

Education: I currently attend San Diego State University, studying upper division psychology classes, and will graduate in 2013. I moved to San Diego in the summer of 2009, and live very close to SDSU campus.
Experience: I have been in contact with a close family member my entire life who suffers from schizophrenia, which has enabled me to become comfortable with mental illnesses, and hopefully gave me some insight as to how to help those individuals overcome these disabilities. I have also overseen social clubs with adults with developmental disabilities, and have a one on one mentor relationship with an adult who has aspergers.
Hobbies & Skills: In my personal time, I enjoy numerous activities, including music (guitar, piano, drums), playing sports and exercising (favorite is basketball), surfing, snowboarding, skating, and spending time with my friends.
